Maritime Offshore Consultancy is a European consortium formed some 15 years ago to service the commercial maritime and offshore oil and gas industries. We offer a comprehensive range of theoretical, simulation, practical, location based and ongoing training programmes for professional seafarers.</br>
The principals in our business model have, between them, decades of experience in the military and commercial marine environments. Individually they have written and presented various papers and studies for industry in subjects as diverse as: crew training, marine transfer techniques, maritime systems integration, high speed navigation, marine security plans and procedures and major offshore incident evacuation planning.</br>
Maritime Offshore Consultancy UK and their partners in the Netherlands and Sweden have designed and delivered high speed crew boat training courses for clients all over the world and have extensive experience in West Africa and oil and gas industry support related projects.</br>
The company operated a fast ferry and crew boat training programme on location in Southern Nigeria for Arco Marine Ltd. and, in accordance with the client’s wishes, designed the standard operational procedures, health and safety programmes, crew selection, initial training courses and ongoing training assessments utilising industry “best practice” wherever possible.</br>
All the personnel employed by Maritime Offshore Consultancy and their partners have formal NVQ or comparable teaching qualifications and extensive marine, seafaring and navigational backgrounds.</br>
Location based training modules, continuation training and audited assessment training programmes are specially tailored for the client. Each individual project is commissioned with direct input from a “key client” as a focal point of contact.</br>
As is to be expected in this day and age, all of our instructors speak a variety of languages and many are familiar with local West African dialects. Regionally dedicated instructors have worked extensively in West Africa and are well aware of national and regional cultural differences and the working procedures in each country.
