Shipyard GREBEN was founded in 1948 with intention of constructing and repairing wooden vessels. Shipyard GREBEN originated as an existing small private shipyard. Shortly after forming started with construction of smaller wooden vessels and after a certain period it started to manufacture ishing vessels up to 30 m long.</br>
After 1950 it started to manufacture lifesaving equipment and lifeboats from aluminium alloy.During the sixties development started on GRP lifeboats. In thesame year Production has also included lifeboat lifting and lowering arrangement. Shipyard GREBEN was founded in 1948 with intention of constructing and repairing wooden vessels. In thesame year Production has also included lifeboat lifting and lowering arrangement.Beside lifesaving equipment between 70’s and 80’s, shipyard GREBEN has transformed into manufacturer of large craft from GRP. It started manufacturing ishing vessels, patrol boats, landing crafts, fast boats, passenger boats and sailing yachts.By developing a new products, renovation of production permises has been made (workshops, slipways, assembly shops, iting out quay and the remaining necessary permises for production. Today shipyard GREBEN exists as MONTMONTAZAGREBEN Ltd, employs 130 employees and is completely owned by Montmontaza Group, one of the Croatian leading contractors of industrial plants,buildings and infrastructure. Shipyard MONTMONTAZA-GREBEN Ltd. is located on the island Korcula in the Croatia, on the Adriatic sea in Mediterannean area. The total plant area covers 50.000 m2, 25.000 m2 of which is in enclosed premises with all necessary equipment. MONTMONTAZA-GREBEN Ltd today employs 130 employees, and has its own design technological oices, laboratories and over 80% of all the products manufactured are Greben’s own project made. In our facilities we have produced a variety of vessels including vessels made of wood, metal, aluminium alloy and GRP. Lifesaving equipment and other GRP vessels are produced in controlled environment under supervision of all Classiication Societies (Lloyd Register, Bureau Veritas, RINA, DNV, RMRS ...). From the begining of a project, from purchasing raw and other materials, during the manufacturing, the prototype testing and trials before delivery, Shipyard GREBEN has a good reputation and presents one of the leading manufacturers of lifesaving equipment in Europe (davits, winches, lifeboats...) Also it exports over 70% of the total production to the various countries worldwide to Europe, Africa MONTMONTA?A GREBEN Shipyard and Asia.
